Theft from Motor Vehicle Arrest

Theft from Motor Vehicle Arrest

Good Morning

On Wednesday afternoon, officers received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle in Altrincham Retail Park. Following proactive enquiries, officers attended the area of Navigation Road Metrolink Stop, where they identified a male known to them. The male was subsequently stopped and searched. During the search, officers recovered property that had been reported stolen from the vehicle. He was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle, and the recovered items were returned to the victim.

Keeping Your Vehicle Secure

Unfortunately, opportunistic thieves will often target vehicles in an attempt to steal items left inside. While the responsibility for these offences lies solely with the offender, there are some simple steps that can reduce the likelihood of your vehicle being targeted:

You Said, We Did: Following reports from the community, officers carried out enquiries and proactive patrols which resulted in an arrest and the recovery of stolen property. Your information helps us identify offenders and take action to keep Trafford safe.

Thank you
